I draw on my background in psychology to evoke emotions through a style which combines impressionism with abstract work. Most of my art focuses on the interplay of color and texture. Lately, I have been working on pieces which represent feelings, such as "Compatible," 'Discombobulated," and "Playful." Another project I just completed is "Waterfall with Heliconia and Hawaiian Waterfall Fish," which showcases my love of the tropics and sense of wonder for the breathtaking - and sometimes humorous - details of our world.

My passion for taking bits and pieces of brokenness to create something beautiful and new shows up in my work with collage. While most of my work is with acrylics, you never know what else might end up in a piece. Recently, my husband, Don, and I have been experimenting with re-creating chandeliers.
